1. MOAJE ETUDES - "Swing" and "Latin"
Winds should perform the "Swing" and "Latin" etudes with the rhythm section MP3 accompaniment.
Rhythm section instruments should be prepared to perform with MP3 accompaniment with their track muted on the recording.

2. IMPROVISATION - "Satin Doll" and "A Little of This?"
In addition to the Swing and Latin etudes, auditions will also include "Satin Doll" from Approaching the Standards, Vol. 1 by Dr. Willie Hill and "A Little of This?" (F Blues) from Blues in All Keys, Vol. 42 by Jamey Aebersold.
Winds will be required to play the melody and improvise a minimum of one chorus on "Satin Doll" and "A Little of This?"
Piano, Bass, Guitar, Vibes, and Drums will play the melody first chorus, comp or walk second chorus, and improvise third chorus on "Satin Doll" and "A Little of This?"
3. Required Drum Set Styles (Drums Only)
Drums should be able to demonstrate a variety of styles including Shuffle, Samba, Bossa, Jazz Waltz, and Funk as listed HERE.
All-State Jazz call back auditions will include sight reading.
